with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair

So last week me and my sister went to a shop that sells a little bit of everything for super cheap and we found that they sold little bunches of artificial flowers so we bought lots of them and made some flowers crown. We made one each and my sister made one for my niece. Here are some of the photos that we took :)

Just a quick little post as I'm all tucked up in bed poorly :( Hope you're all well!

Finnish adventure

Hey guys! So sorry I haven't been posting, I have moved to Finland for an exchange programme and have only just managed to get internet, it's crazy how much I depend on the internet for things, it was nice to have a little break away from the internet world though. Here are some photos of Finland so far, it's so pretty! I will post an outfit post later this week :)

Firsts!

So Sophie tagged me in this firsts post and I thought it would be pretty fun to do :)

The Rules:
  • You must share the following firsts and give the story or the context behind them.
  • You must Tag 10 other bloggers to do to the tag.
  • No tag backs
First Best Friend -
My first best friend was a boy called Nicholas in nursery and I used to call him 'doh' because he loved the Simpsons and Homer simpson and then one day I came home and said to my mum 'I've been making babies with dough (Playdough)' And she almost had a heart attack...

First Kiss -
Hmm, my first proper kiss was near a little bridge near my house with my boyfriend at the time, when I was in year seven or eight .. it wasn't great but who's first kiss ever is?

First Concert -
My first concert was My chemical romance at the Manchester evening news arena on their black parade tour.. I was super cool in high school apparently.

First Celebrity Crush -
I have no idea actually! I'd have to ask my mum, I'm going to guess at every member of boyzone and backstreet boys, I was obsessed!

First Word -
Again, I have no idea, I wish I knew, just texted my mum so I'll find out soon!

First Pet -
A bunny rabbit called polly, she was super cute :)

First Job -
A paper round that I got paid £8 for and it took me about 3 hours every Friday evening, not to mention the time it took to put leaflets in each individual newspaper, worst job ever! I used to hate going to the houses with dogs and one time loads of kids stole my paper trolley, nightmare.

First Phone -
I think my first phone was a Motorola and I got it for Christmas when I was starting high school

First Tweet -
If I can remember I think it was something about going to the gym with my friend Peter.

First Make-Up -
I have no idea, I assume some sort of lipgloss or eyeshadow, I didn't really start wearing makeup til about year ten! I was a tomboy until then ...

Polka dots and Olympic fever!

I have had such a busy week with placement and trying to get my house packed up before I move to Finland that I completely forgot to write about my amazing weekend! My lovely boyfriend came to stay in London for the weekend and on Sunday we had a picnic and played PlayStation and watched films and just generally had a lazy day after all the excitement we had on Saturday at the anniversary games for the Olympics! We managed to get tickets on Saturday morning so we had a mad rush to get to Waterloo to pick up the tickets and then a mad rush again to Stratford to get to the Olympic park but it was so worth it! We saw Jessica Ennis and her amazing bum :) Mo Farah winning the 3000m which was unreal and Craig took a video of us both screaming and cheering, it's pretty embarrassing! And we saw the legendary Usain bolt right infront of us warming up for the 4x100m relay! I had such a fun time even though it made me miss the olympics even more...

Dress - Dahlia, Oxford street Topshop
Shoes - JuJu Jellies via Charity shop
Satchel bag - Primark

I got this dress last year for my birthday and I love it, it makes me feel like i'm going somewhere special when I wear it as the material is so lovely! I love Dahlia, their clothes are so prettttty :) My shoes were an absolute bargain, I was browsing a charity shop last week and came across these beauties still with tags on brand new for just £6, I've wanted JuJus for ages but never got round to buying them and I'm glad I didn't, they're really cosy too :) My bag is just a little satchel from primark but it is very roomy and fits in everything really well as it has two sections so perfect for me :) love the colour too!

Poundland bargains!

So I was reading somebodies blog post the other, (Really sorry but I can't remember for the life of me who it was) - if it was you then let me know :) and they said they had picked up OPI nail polishes in Poundland! I couldn't believe it but today on my shopping trip I decided to pop into poundland to see if they were selling them in my local one and they were! They only had the shatter ones so I didn't purchase any because I probably wouldn't use them as I'm super lazy with my nails! However I know a lot of people who would, so I might go back and pick up a few for friends :) Anyway while I was in there I noticed some other amazing bargains: they had loads of Rimmel London products! Here's what I picked up :)

Rimmel wake me up, instant radiance shimmer touch in radiant rose. I have wanted to try this product for so long! It's a really pretty highlighter in a cream formula and is also meant to help make you look less fatigued - which I definetley need! Its £5 in Superdrug so at £1 it is an absolute steal!

I also picked up this Velvet effect nail polish, it isn't a brand name but I'm excited to try it out and I love purple a lot! First you apply the nail polish and then sprinkle on the dust, sounds a bit messy ...

And lastly I picked up some eyeshadow from Nicola Roberts' Dainty doll collection, the colour is Copacabana which is a really pretty blue, I love the packaging it comes in and the eyeshadow has it's own little mirror, super cute! This is actually £10 at feelunique.com, so £1 is crazyyyy!

Liebster award!

Oooh how exciting! The lovely Alanna nominated me for the Leibster award which is an award for up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers (I love all my followers despite it being a very small number) and this award is an awesome idea to bring those who are new into blogging some interest in their blog as maintaining a blog is actually very hard work!

The rules:
  • Nominees must answer 11 questions asked by the blogger that nominated them.
  • You need to choose 11 blogs with under 200 followers to pass the award onto and let them know you've nominated them by commenting on their blog.
  • Come up with 11 new questions for them to answer.

So Alanna wrote 11 questions for me to answer:

What's your favourite nail varnish?
My 17, lasting fix nail polish called 'Mini skirt' which is a lovely white and I love the contrast with my skin.

What product could you not live without?
Eyeliner! I wear it everyday unless I'm in a rush and then I hate my eyes for the rest of the day! I use the collection 2000 one which is super cheap but works so well :)

What is in your bag?
My bag is generally a mess BUT I bought a new handbag yesterday and have actually sorted it out so in my super clean handbag I have, my ipod nano and headphones, purse, two oyster cards (not sure why I have two), pocket mirror, my filofax which I loveee so much, my phone would usually be in my bag but obviously it's not right now, a couple of pens, my keys, cherry airwaves, my inhalers (damn asthma), some makeup bits :)

Who is your style icon and why?
Alexa Chung which is pretty cliche I suppose but I love her style and how she pairs items and I love dungarees just as much as she does!

What made you start a blog?
Well I've always been into fashion and I shop A LOT, a friend suggested it to me last year and I just didn't think I had the time but when my friend Sophie started one I thought I would give it a shot :)

Who is your favourite blogger and why?
I love LeHappy and TheLondonLipgloss, both because they have their own style and look absolutely amazing! And I love reading about what they get up to :)

Describe yourself in 5 words
I asked my housemates to describe me so kind of cheated: vibrant, scouse, loud, short and caring.. not sure how to take those.

What is on your beauty or fashion wish list?
vivienne westwood chancery bag!!!!

Where is your favourite place in the world and why?
I have no idea, I have so many places I love, in London it would have to be Hampstead Heath and Trafalgar Square, everywhere else I'm not sure!

What do your friends and family think of your blog?
They think it's a good idea apart from it fuelling my shopping addiction further!

What was the last beauty product you bought?
I bought dry shampoo and hair bleach today :)

The bloggers I have nominated are:

My questions for them are:

1. How would you describe your style?
2. Which fashion designers do you love and why?
3. What is your favourite disney movie?
4. Tell me an interesting fact about yourself

5. If you were going to spend the day with me what would we do ?
6. Your idol, doesn't have to be fashion related

7. What is your best memory?
8. What beauty item could you not live without?
9. What is something you wish your younger self had known?
10. If you could buy any item in the world what would it be?
11. What makes you happiest :)?

Hope you enjoy answering the questions! Lots of love, Toni x

little secrets :)

White cropped vest - Primark basics
Denim cutoffs - Levis via Ebay
Pink high tops - Converse
Kimono style jacket - Primark

I bought this jacket yesterday. I tried it on and my housemate said it looked hideous :( but I fell in love with it, the material is amazing and I love the pattern, it's great to throw on over a simple outfit like this and look like you've made a slight effort! It was slightly pricey for £15 but I did put back a pair of jeans and a dress so that I could buy it - so I didn't spend too much money .. maybe.

I threw this outfit on really quickly to go to the shop and buy ice lollies, as it is absolutely sweltering in London. I have an exam tomorrow so this is a super quick post. Hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine, there's going to be thunderstorms tomorrow which I love :) Anybody got any tips for things to do in London over summer?
